Research and Development Engineer
Vishal Narang received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from West Virginia University in 2009 and 2015, respectively. His Ph.D. work was focused on the piezoelectric, structural and magnetic properties of Erbium alloyed AlN thin films. During this period, he also contributed to the design, fabrication and characterization of III-nitride based LEDs and HEMT devices.
Before joining CNM2, he worked as Nanofabrication Process Engineer and Senior Scientist (Nanofabrication) at City University of New York’s Advanced Science Research Center (CUNY ASRC) where he oversaw etch and metrology modules of the nanofabrication facility. In addition to managing the etch and metrology modules, Vishal collaborated with the faculty at CUNY ASRC and co-authored papers in Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Chemistry and Nature Communications journals.
